ASA ASA

Outdoor and sun-exposed parts. What we offer when you ask for ABS.

In plain words

Good for

Outdoor and sun-exposed parts. What we offer when you ask for ABS.

Not for

Some oils, greases and solvents.

Upright is weaker

A printed part is strongest along its layers (flat, X-Y) and weaker across them (upright, Z). The table shows both. We turn the part so the load runs along the layers.

The full data sheet

Every number on this page is copied from the filament maker's technical data sheet (V3.0). The PDF has the test methods and print settings.

Test conditions from the data sheet: Nozzle 260 °C, bed 80 °C, 200 mm/s, 100% infill; annealed and dried at 80 °C for 12 h before testing. These are lab numbers for test bars, not a working limit for your part. The real limit depends on the load, the time at temperature and the shape, which is why we ask about all three.
