The basics
Timing, cost, fit and privacy.
How long does it take?
We tell you the date when we quote. Need it sooner? Ask about a rush fee.
What does it cost?
You get a firm price before we start, and nothing is charged until you say yes.
Will you keep my part and drawings private?
Yes. Your files stay with us and are never shared or posted. We are happy to sign your NDA.
Is there anything you won't make?
Yes. We don't make safety-critical parts, anything that lifts a load or holds pressure, parts that touch food, or medical parts. For those, go to the OEM.
The part
What we need, what we can make.
Do I need a CAD file or a drawing?
No. We build from the part itself or from an engineering drawing. If you have a drawing or a CAD file, send it along; it helps. A sketch is not enough to build from.
Can you make it from a photo?
A photo is for a quote. To make the part we need the part itself, or a fully dimensioned engineering drawing.
How big a part can you make?
Up to about 12 inches (300 mm) in any direction. Bigger parts can sometimes be made in sections; ask.
Which material will you use?
The one that fits the heat, oil, coolant and load the part sees. If you don't know, we pick it. The materials page has the plain-language table.
Do I get my original part back?
Always. It goes back in the same box as the new part.
Can I reorder later?
Yes. We keep the model on file. Call or email with the job and we make another.
Do you sell filament, printers or supplies?
No. We print parts only.
